Naval Battle
Several fixes for ships clipping into each other
Improvements to boarding have been made. Crew is more fluid in attack and more resolute in defence. Men survive long fall and officers join in the boarding attack
Crew uniforms improved to make identification of the crew type and faction easier
Defending ship is not allowed to fire cannons anymore during boarding procedure
Improved naval grouping UI and group movement made
Improvements made to ship collisions to reduce chance of ships getting stuck

Economic tweaks have been made to campaign to reduce amount of money made in later part of campaign
Extra Note
We are aware of an issue with community created maps that results in a crash when someone without the map tries to join the game. This crash will be fixed in the next patch
Further work is being done on improving AI Naval invasion behaviour and this will be included in the next upgrade patch

nun wo ja offensichtlich ein neuer Patch umherschwirrt wollt ich mal fragen wie euch ETW so gefällt. Ich hab die DEMO angespielt und muss sagen bin extrem zweigespalten.
Einerseitz ist der Sound & Grafik sehr ansprechend. Wiederum die unheimlich lahmen Seeschlachten sind ein bisschen doof. (Trotz der genialen Grafik etc).
Vorallem aber konnte ich noch nicht viel darüber herausfinden, wie den Leuten die Kampagnenkarte so gefällt.
Würde mich freuen, wenn ihr hier ein bisschen über die vor und nachteile des Spiels erzählen könnt. Hab Abitur in 18 Tagen und danach werd ich mir das spiel eben je nach Meinungen von euch dann zulegen, oder eben nicht .
Hallo Leute, ich hab mir jetzt auch ETW geholt und muss sagen, dass es eigentlich ganz gut ist. Diese Vorurteile das Spiel wäre Sch***** sind totaler Quatsch. Das Spiel ist hammermäßig, man muss sich nur dran gewöhnen.
Naja was mir aber missfällt sind diese langen Ladezeiten. Ist das bei euch auch so?

Also normal holt sich das Game die Patches ( Updates ) automatisch, wenn du es nicht ausgestellt hast !
Die Ladezeiten haben sich bei mir verkürzt, seit dem ich etwas mehr Arbeitsspeicher installiert habe. Etwas länger als bei den Total War Vorgängern sind sie trotzdem !
ok ich hab jetzt auch mal ne frage zum patch. Ich hab ETW nich über Steam installiert, aber später ne Verknüfpung darein gepckt, so dass ichs über steam starte kann. Jetzt möcht ich mir aber den Patch holen, aber iwie gehts nich, weil ich wenn ich auf Updates in Steam gucke da kein Update für ETW verfügbar ist.... Könnt mir einer weiterhelfen?

Wie auch immer, ich empfehle dir es über Steam zu machen, denn dann wird dein Spiel automatisch up to date gehalten. Momentan ist noch der patch von Ende April + Ergänzung vom 01.05.09 aktuell. Jetzt am Montag den 22.06.2009 kommt aber der nächste Patch (1.3) mit einer Menge Sachen die gefixt wurden und auch 14 neuen Einheiten, bzw. besserem Ersatz für bestehende Einheiten.
Um zu sehen was du für einen aktuellen Patch hast, mach in der Liste deiner Spiele in Steam einen rechten Mausklick auf ETW. In dem Fenster ist ddann auch ein menuepunkt hinsichtlich Updates.
P.S. Das Patchchaos ist an und für sich vollkommen Geschichte. die ersten bedien patches im März waren Mist, weil die nahezu ungetestet rausgingen, quasi Panikpatches waren. Wer noch immer Probleme hat bitte am Dienstag einfach melden, denn es wird immer unwahrscheinlicher, daß der Grund beim Spiel zu suchen ist.

Komisch... Ich hab irgendwo gelesen, dass der Patch 1.3 nur die Grafik für mehrkernige Prozessoren (auch für einkernige) verbessern soll. Aber mit neuen Einheiten bzw. Fixes stand da nichts da. Egal. Hauptsache er ist Savegame-Kompatibel und das Spiel läuft auch besser.
